I am sophomore and my overall gpa is a 3.22 that I just raised and yes Iknow its low I have to make a decisionwheter to drop my Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy Lecture and Lab(since it'sco-reqs) or keep it. If I keep it I will basically work my behind off for a Cin both of them which I can not afford. The only reason why I am struggling in itbecause I am also taking Organic 1 and the lab. In my Organic Lecture I have aB- and the lab a B+. That's horrible to me because I usualy ace my chem classesbecause I love chemistry but I feel like Anatomy is getting in the way becausethe hardest professor in the Bio department in my school teaches that and he'salso the only one. Should I take the w or stick through it?

And for more background info on me I am a Biochem major. My gpa is lowbecause I messes us freshman year. First semester Freshman year:

Biology I: A-

Biology Lab I:B-

Intro to Gen Chem:A

Pre-Calculus:C+

English:B-

Second Semester

Gen Chem 1: B+

Gen Chem Lab:A-

Biology II:C

Biology Lab II:C

Calculus I😀+

To be honest I felt like I got a C in bio because I didnt work hard enoughand I regret that. Calc I just had a horrible professor.

Sophomore year

General Chem II: A

General Chem Lab II: A

Speech:A-

Sociology:A

Intro to Unergraduate Research: A

Calculus I:B

I want to get all A's this semester again or pass with B's but I'm afraid ofAnatomy and like I said in my organic Chem class I have a B- as for rightnow... So should I work hard for the C or take a W for my Comparative AnatomyLecture and Lab? And if you're ondering why I took Comparative it was becausethat was a pre-req for physiology which I need but it was rumors going aroundthat if I take physio this summer I wouldn't need comparatve to register andits true because I am already registered for physio even though I didntcomplete Comparative. The Dean is giving me a chice to decide on what I want todo before Monday please help. I am stressed because I do not want to ruin mychances getting into pharm school.

Take the W.

But you should also realize that statements like "Calc I just had a horrible professor" is an excuse that no mature candidate for pharmacy school should be making. Having horrible professors does not automatically translate to poor performance. Every school has tutors, help centers, and what not. If you overloaded yourself, that is a decision you still made. Mature decisionmaking means that you take responsibility for your actions (or inactions) and that you GROW from those mistakes.

So when you get to your personal statement... don't make excuses for your grades, show them that you have learned something by experiencing life.
