Personally, I think a rep system would invalidate SDN. People could be less willing to speak their honest opinion and instead compete to give the most widely accepted advice to gather rep points. Then, SDN wouldn't be a place for diverse opinions on challenges, but a competition among consensus seekers for the most rep.
