Until you've been accepted. Then the school will usually want thier own copy.

Yup, you don't have to send them to each school. Just send them to AMCAS. Howeve, after you get in, you have to send a final transcript to the school that you're going to attend.

Yep, this is accurate. None of the schools I applied to require a transcript UNLESS you are accepted and plan to attend the school. In this case, you will need your final transcript indicating that you have earned a degree at that institution.

Keep in mind some schools might be different and require you to send them your transcripts, but it's definitely not the norm. 🙂

I think that what the above posters have said is correct, but I'd like to add one more thing. You only need to submit one transcript to AMCAS, but once you're accepted you will need to send an official transcript to the school you plan to attend.
