I know it's early, but is Columbia doing it differently this year?

I was reading the Columbia info, since it is my top choice and I am borderline obsessive, and I noticed that they said they would send out the first batch of acceptances around Feb. 1. I was under the impression that it was more like mid-February. Is this what they always say, and are just late, or are they actually doing it differently this year? Wow--I have to stop reading SDN-I am turning into my worst nightmare.

I think they SAY Feb 1, but it usually goes out a bit later, making it more like mid Feb. At least that was last year if I remember correctly..

wow, Feb 1st isn't that far away!

where does it say Feb 1? From what I have heard, they send out their letters in mid to late February

Yes - someone please tell me where it says feb 1st. I was under the impression it was mid february

Dr. Frantz says not to expect anything until mid-February.

Here is what their admissions page says:

Final selection process
Around mid-January, the Admissions Committee begins to decide to whom the first offers of admission will be sent. There are more highly ranked applicants than the total number of vacancies in the next class. Almost all acceptances and rejections are sent out about the middle of February.

So it looks like Mid-February.... Only about 3-4 weeks...

I was reading Columbia P&S's bulletin board, and someone mentioned that the acceptances will be mailed out BEFORE the end of February...
