Osteopaths in Anesthesiology. I am an MSIII at Phila. College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am also an undergraduate teaching Fellow so I have 3 years of clerkships (I will graduate in 2007).

I guess my questions are these:

1. Are board scores the end-all-be-all for anesth?
2. What sort of people are residencies looking for (team players, hardcore academics, researchers, etc)?
3. What about class grades?
4. What electives (besides gas) are good for this career path.

I have always been interested in anesthesiology. I love pharmacology (almost became a pharmacist) and love the science in this field.

I have decent grades, but not great Step I COMLEX or USMLE scores at all (passed both first time, though)

Any insight anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Not an Osteopath, but a USIMG here. And, I can tell you that you will likely do just fine. What you've stated here above is more important than anything else.
