Hey guys, I went to Emory today for an interview and it was a great place! It's like a dream school for those interested in MD/MPH. They pay for 50% of the MPH year, and 3 full-scholarships are available for the MPH year as well. There's so much flexibility in the classes you can choose to take, and travelling abroad is possible.

Did I mention that all the buildings are really new b/c of the huge donation from Coca Cola? CDC, American Cancer Society are just around the corner, and many CDC staff ended up teaching students at Emory. Finally, CDC has about 60 internship spots for everyone across the nation, and 2 of them are RESERVED for Emory people!

Hehe...I just wanna share my joy!

Yeah, Emory was definitely one of the most pleasantly surprising interviews I went to.

cool!! 😀 emory was my home for 6 years for college and the MPH program (which rocks btw if you have any questions about it), and it is truly one of the "hidden gems" of the academic world. it was soooo hard turning down emory med, but i had to break up the string of staying at the same school. if you're interested in doing something in public health, atlanta is the public health capital of the world essentially. the campus is beautiful, the city of atlanta is a great place to as a young adult.

good luck 🙂

emory didn't do it for me. *shrug*

but i hear grady is a great place to learn hands-on clinical medicine and a 3rd and 4th year.

I interviewed at Emory (MD only) and it was fantastic. I was really impressed which was a surprise. I could see myself being there but still i have other schools that i favor more than Emory 🙂

Yea I'm definitely not the only one that's impressed 🙂

Obviously I'll have to see if I'll be accepted to Emory, and I'll also have to look at the decisions at other schools, but really felt fortunate that I applied there!

Yeah they gave us a sheet saying the earliest we could hear back was this coming week I think.
