Just wanted to add some positivity into this forum. US MD from top 10 med school applying to pathology this year. Why? Because I enjoy it and it makes me happy. And yes while I do have some concerns about getting a desirable job, I'll just have to start networking early.

Amen! I'm also a 4th year AMG applying this year and I love pathology too. Good luck with apps!
