OK, I've applied twice, got only one interview, and taken the MCAT twice (I took it too early the first time, tried again, and got the same freaking score: 27 (9s on all)). So I've decided to go the kaplan route this last time around and bought one of their on line packages. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and we might be able to keep eachother on track. Anyways, if anyone does, this thread is for you, if not I'll mill aound in the mcat section.

I'm in the SAME situation as yours. I've applied twice, taken the MCAT twice, same score, except mine was (8,9,10). This time around I've had 2 interviews, 1 waitlist, and 1 still awaiting post-interview decision. I was thinking of study for the MCAT this August, but not too sure since I'm on one waitlist. I dont know if I should spend $1399 on Kaplan online package. But if I dont hear anything by June, I will start stuyding. How's the online course ? Have you started the course yet ?

I'm starting my online course this next week (finished school last tuesday, but I work thurs, fri, sat and sunday nights, so I haven't been able to spend the two hours to take their online diagnostic). So I can't say much about it just yet.
However, Kaplan claims to have a garentee about getting you money back if you don't do well on the exam. If you can, I'd invest the money now, and if need be just get your money back if you're accepted off a waiting list. I only say this because I wish I had taken this course and taken the april MCAT while I was still waiting to hear back from UNM, so that I could apply as early as possible.

Do not waste all that money on that package. Buy the review books and get a few practice tests and study independently. This is speaking from experience (I regret forking over that much moolah)

I'm currently waiting on my scores from the April MCAT, so I don't know yet if I'll need to retake it. I'm pretty sure I will, because like the idiot I am, I haven't even taken Physics II yet, and I feel like I pretty much guessed on the majority of the exam! I was considering buying the online Kaplan, so when I find out my scores, and end up buying the Kaplan in a few weeks (if that's not too late!) I would love to have a study buddy to keep me on track. I wish I could take the classrom Kaplan, but like you, I work. So let me know!! 😀
