As a miserable IMG with green card and scores in top 90 and 2 years medically related job , I do not consider any chance for myself in competetive programs , so guys please help me to find out a list of IMG friendly hospitals for Internal Medicine (cat) 🙁
Do I have any chance in prelim G. surgery?????🙁
Thanks

IMG-friendly hospitals for categorical medicine?

Just about every hospital in the New York Metropolitan Area (New York City, Nassau & Suffolk Counties, Newark, NJ, Northern New Jersey, etc.) is IMG-friendly EXCEPT for the higher university programs such as Columbia, Cornell, Mt. Sinai, NYU, and probably, Albert Einstein/Montefiore.

But other university programs such as SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark have a large number of IMGs in their categorical medicine programs. Community programs such as Beth Israel Medical Center, NYU Downtown Hospital, New York Methodist, Staten Island University Hospital, etc., all have a large number of categorical IMGs in medicine.

Good luck.

If you go to www.pinoyimg.com, they have a list of IMG friendly hosptials there. this list is free

Also, you can go to img experts.com. They have about a list of IMG friendly hospitals, with minimum score requirements, contact numbers and additional program statistics. There are different lists for each specialty. You must pay for this list though.

If you are a US-IMG, then you have many other options other than New York for residency. good luck to you

I think a lot of Cleveland ,ohio hospitals are IMG friendly. Check those out.

The Cleveland Clinic is IMG friendly. Good luck!

kvh78, what kind of medically related job do you have, if you don't mind my asking?

The hospitals in the country you went to med school in would probably be happy to have you!!

Dudes...the OP posted SIX AND A HALF YEARS ago! I hope he has moved on y now.

Epic.😀

Hmm, and I bumped it without noticing that. Why did it appear at the top of the forum list?????

Because there was a spam post in it that was deleted by the Mod so the spammer moved it to the top, where you saw it and replied (not sure if you can see those...my access allows me to see all sort of things :meanie:).
