Hi: I am looking for a study partner for USMLE Step I.
Is anyone planning on taking there step 1 exam near the end of the year? if you are, I would be very interested in studying with you guys. Please understand that I am not taking any days off excepted for memorial day, the fourth of july, and labor day. Apart from these three specified days, i am planning on studying everyday.
Currently us
ing Kaplan Live Lectures Online 2014, F.A, pathoma, and doing UW questions as my main study q bank to take detail notes, and utilizing kaplan q bank as just something i can do more questions (allowing me to recognize patterns and get my brain used to the rigors of questioning).
I am plan on starting today may 12th, and according to my schedule I should be completely finished with studying + review + having all notes taken (including memorized) by october 28th. After which I will be taking my nbme, and then using the next 4 weeks to strengthen ANY weaknesses. (I will be doing an nbme every week at this point) At this point I am sure to hit my goal of 260+. As soon as I achieve 260+ on three consecutive nbmes, I will be spending the next two weeks to review and repeat the mastery of whatever I have done. Doing 200 questions back to back on random mode (four blocks in the morning at 7am - 11am) ... 1 hour break......then doing another 200 questions back to back random mode This is solely to allow my brain to increase its stamina on the Actual test day. After about a one hour break, at 5pm i will be going over all my notes (high yield of F.A, UW world, other notes) till 10 pm. I plan on covering all of it during these two weeks. I hope and pray all of you attain your intended scores. Remember to work hard. By hard, I mean not passively studying but being active in it. I am very dedicated to my studies and I plan on matching into a university program for internal medicine (hopefully cardiology afterwards) or neurology ( which is why attaining 260 plus is of absolute necessity for me).
I have had many friends get insanely high scores on their exams including many family members, and i have scoured over the internet studying the techniques and methods of studying people who have scored very high, and I have came to quite a few number of conclusions. If you are interested in studying with me, I am able to do it in person or via skype ***meeting sessions is for reviewing concepts and perhaps quizzing each other and also serves as a way to actively reinforce the various concepts.
I would like a study buddy as well. I plan on taking the Step 1 next summer.
