Alright, so....I posted on here a few weeks ago and didn't get much feedback, and I would love to get some input. I have a 37n<<<(apparently I cannot write) and submitted my PRIMARY about a week ago. 4.0 gpa, lots of ec's, and i designed and completed an international research study last year. i am EXTREMELY nervous to have submitted my primary so late in the game after seeing all of the go-getters on here applying so early...i didn't realize how important an early application was. i think that my personal statement was very well-written and so that will balance out my poor ws score. what do you guys think my chances are at the following schools:

university of co
creighton
rush
rosalind franklin
university of vt
loyola
mayo clinic
albert einstein
boston university
tulane

like i said, i am really nervous. i felt so rushed to get the dang primary in that i found a few small grammar errors in my work/activities section...i checked it thoroughly but my mind kept ignoring the same grammar errors!! my primary is in line for review right now, i'm not sure how long it will take. i'm getting secondary q's off here to work on so i can submit right away.
any thoughts, ideas, comments??

Relax it will be alright. You'll more than likely get in somewhere.

i hope so, because i graduate in december and really do not want to take a year and a half off. that would suck.

CALM DOWN!

That being said. You have a 37 and a 4.0. Both Stellar. And no one really cares about the WS. Granted it is late in the game for a primary. But if anyone has a chance late in the game it is you. So just get the secondaries in as fast as you can and relax.

For an applicant with a 4.0/37, I think you could afford to apply to a few more reach schools, assuming your ECs and LORs are up to par.

and does anyone know how long it's taking to get verified lately? i saw some earlier posts in which people were getting verified quickly, but now that it is october i was thinking it might take 6 or so weeks. hmmm...

Since this thread is basically asking, "What are my chances?" it belongs in the "What are my chances?" subforum that we have.

I will move it there for you now.

Best of luck to you this cycle. :luck: You have a really impressive application!

hello...thank you. i had it there, but not many people view that area (well, at least currently), and i wanted more feedback...which is why i wrote it in the main thread.

🙂

I agree with Dr Crys. No one here is going to tell you that submitting so late is a good thing BUT both your gpa and MCAT are great (no one cares about the writing score, especially if your score from the verbal section is decent). You may sweat it out a bit towards the end, but I'd bet you'll get an acceptance.

If by chance you dont, submit early next cycle and you should be golden. Good luck

You've gotten some good feedback here. If you have strong ECs in addition to your good stats (I see you've done some research), you might want to consider adding some of the upper-tier non-rolling schools. I think you would have a good shot at getting into some of them, and since they're non-rolling it doesn't matter how late you get your application in, as long as it's in by the deadline.

I agree, add some reach schools, especially schools that don't have rolling admissions. University of Michigan claims not to, and Duke doesn't. Both are within your grasp if you have good LORs and ECs.
