So I have been debating/having a mental breakdown about what I need to do to get into dental school eventually. I know that I need to do a Post Bacc, but it seems like all of the ones I've looked at are somehow not looking for candidates such as my self. In that, I have finished nearly all of the pre reqs (I still need one English class, P. Chem, and Physics II/Lab). I'm not sure what type of program this would qualify me for...I'd like to finish the last of my prereqs in a structured program, but it seems that they only want those who are career changers or who have finished all of their pre reqs.
I am currently in a MSPH program and am hoping to go straight into a post bacc afterwards. I just need some advice on where I should apply etc.

Stats: uGPA 2.85.

Sincerely,
a wreck

I am presuming you are just starting your MSPH. Why don't you just enroll in some undergraduate classes to satisfy the remaining pre-reqs and then look into SMPs if you still feel you need to boost your GPA.

Yes, I have thought about just finishing up those 3 classes this year...it will be alot, but if that is what it takes, then so be it. Thanks for your reply.

That 2.85 is certainly salvageable. Where are you located? There are several very well known small masters programs that you can do. Graduate masters degree appear as a separate column altogether on your application and is looked quite favorably in that when it is factored into your undergrad GPA, it brings it up close to a 3.0 and appears separately, showing that you can do very well in a program. My only recommendation is to drop whatever it is that you have in life and successful finish one of these. Success rates for students who do extremely well, e.g. 3.8+ is very high. Meanwhile, before you get in, I'd recommend taking the DATs and scoring everything above a 20 with nothing below a 19. Plenty of good resources out there for that.

And when you apply to dental school, apply numerously and broadly like 15+ schools.

This is a list of small masters programs. They don't require thesis. Just 1 year of essentially medical school/dental school didactics courses.

Thank you so much!
I'm located currently in Texas, but I will be applying every where haha. Location is not a factor.
