Im currently a senior of a high school. Im registering to some colleges but i have no where to go to. I searched for information about pharmacist career but they are kinda confusing. And i dont have many informations about pharmacist, pharmacist assisting, technician, blah blah blah things like that. T.T
I cant distinguish these things.
So basicly, i need to get into some colleges that have pre-pharmacy courses. And what are these courses?

Im living in Houston and looking for colleges which are inside the city.
I dont have many time to go through all of stuffs on this forum so if yall can help me, i really appreciate that.
TY

Why don't you have time? Applications aren't due yet for most undergrad schools, are they?

I'd start with the FAQ at the top of the pre-pharmacy forum and then start doing some digging on your own. When you have some specific questions, come on back! 👍

oh the specific question is: what are in pre-pharmacy courses?
like when i search for some certain colleges information they only give "healthcare program"
"pharmacy assisting", ...
So i really have no idea what to choose.

I have a ton of hw,seriously 🙁 i sleep like 5 hrs a day and still dont have enough time. T.T

If I were in your shoes, I would apply to the Pre-Pharmacy programs that some schools offer. I know Nova Southeastern here in Florida does a 3+4 year program where they accept you straight out of High School and essentially save a seat for you in their Pharmacy program in 3 years. You just have to meet the requirements, which is usually a little less competitive than other applicants who will apply when you would be applying.

Also, typically most colleges should offer the Pre-Req courses required to apply to pharmacy school. Among others, these include Chem 1, Chem Lab, Chem 2, Organic Lab, Organic 1, Organic 2, Biology 1, Biology 2, Calculus, and a bunch of General Education courses.

Hello neighbor, I live in Dallas 😀
I remember I used College Board to search for colleges: www.collegeboard.org
and see if they listed pre-pharmacy under health profession programs on the college profile.

Pre-pharmacy coursework is pretty science heavy. If you want to get an idea of which courses they are, check the website for a pharmacy school you would consider applying to (or just a school in your area if you don't have any idea yet).

Some colleges have a specific pre-pharmacy curriculum, others do not. Just about any four year university that offers bachelor's degrees in biology, chemistry etc. should offer everything you need to take though. Most CCs will too, but if you apply to a pharmacy school that has upper level science pre-requisites then you might need to verify that.

As an aside, you aren't going to get much sympathy on your "lack from time" as a high school student from anyone here. We're generally happy to help out with questions, but you need to invest some time and effort into doing your own research. This is your future and your career, after all.
