Hey guys!
im currently a freshman at Cal majoring in microbiology and aspiring to become a dentist...

after my first semester and recieving a C+ in Chem 1A and worried for my standing OChem grade... im scared i don't hold a chance for getting into UOP's dental school program 🙁

what do you guys think? should i fight it out at Cal and risk getting a low science gpa or consider transferring into the UOP advance placement program for pre- dental students...

help me out!

Oh that's a hard decision. First of all, you are fine. You have at least 5 semesters plus summers to bring that 1 C+ up. Just know why you got that C+, and don't do it again. As for UOP's advance placement program...I don't know too much about it, but it sounds like a good deal.

There are people with some low GPAs that got into some really good schools, I wouldn't worry that much about 1 class, but if you don't think you can handle the load at Cal....

i too struggled as a freshman , but you gotta realize what you did wrong, my problem was not study in advance enough for exams.. either program your in your gonna have to worry about your grades so its up to you where you feel comfortable
