Hi
My exam is July 5th. I've been studying since the first day of May.
I did go over the clif bio twice and made my own notes. and then watched chad's video for genchem
finally i moved onto DAT destroyer.
This is my second time to go over destroyer and i feel like i'm doing so bad!!!

I even took a full length practice exam yesterday and scored
16/20/19/21/19/19
I have no idea how to study to improve my score.
I feel so frustrated and unprepared.

Can you guys please help me????
I only have 20 days left. How can i use this time really effectively to improve my score.
I would really really appreciate any advice

Thanks.

June 5th was 10 days ago. Assuming it's July 5th, just go over the section that you got 16 on and review other sections. If it was biology, go back to the test and see what kind of problems they were (e.g. taxonomy, photosynthesis, organelles, evolution, etc.) and go over those again in cliffs.

Your practice scores are fine, and similar to mine. You might get a way better score than that. I made a tough schedule for the last two weeks, and stick to it. I told myself, I tried my best and will be fine.

For me, I addressed and focused on my strengths rather than weaknesses because I figured that I could improve my overall score if I did well in certain sections. There is a fine balance, though, because neglecting weaknesses (and potentially bombing that section) can counteract the improved scored in other sections. But I focused on QR, Gen Chem, and O Chem my last two weeks like intermittently working on a few practice problems for Bio and PAT.

But July 5th is NOT late! You still have about 3 weeks which is plenty of time to improve your score. Shoot, my mentor only studied for 2 weeks (I could never do that) so 3 weeks is enough time! It's all in your mentality; I kept telling myself that every day that I have to study is only going to give me more knowledge for the exam. Even 2 days before my exam, I told myself I still have time! 🙂 Be diligent, intentional, and efficient with your time. For the last two weeks, I cut myself off from EVERYTHING! No TV, no cell phone, no SDN (what?! lol I urge you to stay off here because I think it just gives us anxiety...don't do it!), and focus purely on your exam. If you can, and I know not everyone has this luxury, try to take time off from work/obligations for the next few weeks or at least the very last week. And most importantly, relax. This exam is not the beginning or end of the world and remember that your time preparing for this exam is minuscule compared to our entire lives. No reason to stress out, lose hairs/sleep, get all hypertensive...YOU CAN DO IT! 😀

It may just be me, but I think those are decent scores for it being your first practice exam. You clearly know that you need to improve that 16, but the other scores look solid to me. Also, idk which practice exam you used, but if those are achiever scores... I'm sure many people on this forum would say those are good scores. Remember that most practice exams are designed to be slightly more difficult than the real exam (except Achiever which is way more intense in my opinion) so don't stress out. Don't get stressed out by the scores you see on sdn. Keep working and you'll do great! BEST OF LUCK!
