Hi SDN, I'm a Biomedical Engineering major and with the amount of credits I have to take to graduate, it makes more sense for me to take the current MCAT rather than the new one. I have completed Gen Chem and Physics 1 and will complete Organic and Biology this next year. I have two options right now and that would be take physics during the school year and the MCAT at the end of summer, or take physics during the summer and take the MCAT in January 2015 (Still the old MCAT). If I took physics during the year, my schedule would be as follows:
Biology (1 or 2) w/ lab
Organic (1 or 2) w/ lab
Physics 2 (w/o lab)
Engineering Elective (Depends on the semester)
I would then take an engineering class in the summer (5 weeks) and study for the MCAT. If I took Physics in the summer, I would have only winter break to study for the January test, but I would be able to have physiology, genetics, and biochem before the test. Any advice for me would be appreciated! Thanks!
