So, I am in my third year of undergrad getting ready to take my MCAT for the 2nd time. I have a good gpa (3.8) and I have a pretty good resume. I have shadowing experience, volunteer, research, and I've held 4 different officer positions for organizations on campus. Currently I am president of my organization. I also am graduating with honors. The reason I'm telling you this, is not to talk myself up or anything... I have ONE problem. I can't get a good MCAT score...

I mentioned that I am preparing for my 2nd MCAT. On my first I got a 25 (11PS 6V 8BS). Prior to taking that test, I was making 25-30s on my AAMC practice exams and on Kaplans. Now that I'm studying again, I am doing better (27-31) but not as good as I want. ALSO, the AAMC test I have been taking are the SAME as the ones I took in the past, so I recognize some questions, so I don't consider those scores reliable. AAMC came out with a new test (AAMC 11) and I took that about an hour ago. I got a 24 🙁 (10PS 4V 10BS). OBVIOUSLY my verbal is holding me back, and it has been since day one. I took Kaplan courses last summer (1st MCAT) but I am studying from Princeton Review books currently. I know that 10s are not good on PS and BS, but I have gotten 12s multiple times in both before on Princeton tests and AAMC.

My test is April 16th. What do I do? If I do not take the exam now, I'll be held back a year because I don't think it would be smart to apply with a 25. If I take the exam on April 16th, I fear making a slightly higher score but still not good enough, and getting sucked into taking it a third time.

So I can either take it in two weeks, not take it and wait a year, or apply with my current score.... Please help!?

Also, if it helps any, I live in Texas, go to Texas A&M and I plan on applying for all medical schools in Texas.
