I'm a senior in high school and I have to do a senior thesis. The topic should be on something im interested in and should be controversial and something I can argue about. It also can not be moral. I was wondering what about medicine or medical school itself, I can create a topic for. I was thinking about doing something on the new MCAT that comes out when I take it, and argue that if it is a good idea or not. I actually think it is, but will that argument last 5 pages and will I find books about it??

I wrote a 5 page paper on the symbolism in "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". I'm sure you could write 5 pages on the new MCAT. Though if I were you, I might try health care reform. Very controversial and it would be very easy to get 5 pages. Also, you won't find books on the new MCAT.

Maybe not books, but there are tons of publications talking about it in professional journals.

Sounds like a good idea. Just make sure you can relate it to a teacher who may have no interest whatsoever in the MCAT. The AAMC would be a great resource, as they're the ones who control the MCAT. They have a section on their website dedicated to it.
