I need some help regarding OHSU...

Has anyone out there received and completed the secondary? I am submitting my AMCAS this weekend (I know, late!!!). I think that I am likely to get at least the secondary. For anyone that has experience with their process, please help me with the following questions:

1)How long after they received AMCAS did they send out the secondary?
2)How long after your application was complete did they invite for interviews?

as far as I know, OHSU HAS NOT invited anyone for interviews yet. Their secondary was sent out very late (early Sept) because they were having computer problems. Now they are swamped with secondaries and we are all still waiting...and I sent my secondary within a week after I got it!

Thanks for the help! I am trying to get all of my reference letters in order so that I am not inconveniencing my referees too much. I will get these and sit on them until I hopefully receive the secondary.

I was verified by amcas 2 weeks ago and just received OHSUs snail mail for the online secondary yesterday. Did that seem wierd to anyone else? Why not just an email?

Their secondary page is password protected, so when you get the secondary, it is essentially in the form of a web address and a password. The secondary is pretty normal. Mostly simple data collection and a "supplemental personal statement," along with a work history. Oh yeah, don't forget the $75. If you've seen other secondaries, you've seen this one.

Frankly, I'm surprised to hear from them so quickly, and even before my MCAT scores are out.

One more question for you-

Regarding letters of reference, did they ask for up to 5 (if no cmte. letter)?

Here's what it says on the website:

Letters of recommendation from three college or university faculty from any department also are required. (It is recommended that at least one of these three letters be from a science department faculty member.) An applicant who is attending or has attended an institution that provides a premedical committee evaluation report may submit this committee report in lieu of the three separate recommendations. Applicants who have been out of college for five years or more may submit two letters from employers and one academic faculty letter. Additional recommendations, academic and nonacademic, may be submitted if an applicant so desires.

Thanks for the info. I am doing my PhD in Alberta, but I grew up in Portland, so it is my home state. I really want to go to med school in Alberta, but I am applying to some American schools as a back up.
