Hello there,

I'm currently a rising junior sitting on a 3.40 cummulative GPA, I believe my science GPA is subpar, at a 2.9 something. B in Bio, C+ in chem I, B in chem II, B+ in Orgo I and a B in Orgo lab. Everything else, I have an A in. Now, I'm quite frankly very concerned whether or not I'm going to make it to dental school. It really is a big dream of mine, and for the past 3 semesters, my GPA is on a upward slope; however, with so many prereqs left, I hope I can have a higher GPA by the time applying comes around.

I plan on taking my DAT summer of '14 and applying for the FALL '15 cycle.

ANY HELP would be beneficial, I need some guidance right now.

Thanks

Concentrate on getting A's in all your science courses. Make sure you are getting close with your professors so you can get good letters of recommendation. Add to your volunteer and shadowing hours, and make sure you can get a letter of rec from a dentist. Read DAT breakdowns on the DAT forums and find one that works for you. Your GPA isn't all that bad, just bump up that science and you should be fine.
