Ok, Ive read CMMRS and BRS biochem. Then I went and did all the USMLERX questions for these two subjects. These two and immuno where the only "subject" based review I was going to do and then organ system for the rest of the subjects. So I started off with Hemo- did goljan audio, RR, then some some physio, ana, embryo and pharm for hematology out of first aid. Went and did USMLERX for hematology. Average is about 62% and I scored around 67%. Now, I do have WORLD and my subscription ends on may 15. My plan was to go along as I was doing, finish the organs then do USMLERX for that organ. After all organs, I was going to do WORLD, untimed random in 1 month...... Ok, i did about 25 questions in hematology today out of world just out of curiosity and MAN, these questions are too amazing. I mean, USMLERX SUCKS! Im stuck here, because now I want to change my whole study plan and just do organ system questions from world. But then, I wouldn't have the opportunity to do them random and timed. Basically, I feel like ALL THE REAL LEARNING is when I do WORLD and Im just frickin wasting mad time doing these stupid usmlerx questions. Should I just skip the usmlerx, get through every organ then do world, or do you think I should finish the way ive been going? I feel like USMLERX is just testing me on stupid little details. Given that it tests over the same details over and over that you end up memorizing first aid, I still dont feel like Im actually learning the material. Should I throw out usmlerx, focus on getting through everything first then do world? Ive always felt that I learn best through questions.

I am not bothering with USMLERX, i want to test my ability to think through questions not just regurgitate facts which i have down through just reading goljan and FA. So yea i am sticking with world all the way.

oh you definitely have time. my plan was to start world soon. usmlerx is garbage. I am in the school of thought that starting world too early is counterproductive. Since the explanations are so key, you may forget a ton of it before the test anyways. Just start world now is my opinion.. you even have time to do it twice if you do 40 or so questions a day.. i havent taken the test yet though.

id say do random uworld in the near future. the taus plan recommends you to do another "junk" qbank anyways before starting world..

and since you started early, you are probably in a good place

You need to learn the stupid details, you need to learn first aid cold. Until you can get consistantly 80's in a subject for FARx, you have not learned FA well.

IMHO.
