I need to find an oral surgeon

I dont know if this is the right place to post this, but i cannot find a better spot than this. I need to find an oral surgeon that performs implants. Finding one is not hard, but finding a good one is. I called many of them. they all vary in price. some charge $2500 per implant+crown. others say that they charge $1800 just for the implant and then you have to go to another doctor to get the crown which is another $1800 or so. How do i know which one to go to? am i getting a better dentist if i pay more, or do the prices vary because they have different levels of experince. the more experinced ones tend to charge more. apart from price, how do i find one that i can trust to do a good job? i know that malpractice is high and i dont want to be a victim of it.

Ask your general dentist for a referral. Ask people in your community what they thought, as far as "chair-side manners" go (NOT skill).

My OS charges 1800 for the post and lets the general dentist take care of the crown (another 1000-1500, that range).
