No one can legally force your friend to marry this man, though I know her family must be putting a lot of pressure on her. Saudia Arabia banned forced marriages in 2005.

I know that sometimes Saudi Arabian families will hurt women who won't do what they're told. Would this family hurt your friend? Please tell her to be very careful if she thinks they might hurt her.
