But I'm totally watching House instead. Anyone else feel some second year burnout? It's like I'm getting so close to the boards that I'm having trouble giving a **** about my test grades in class.

I'm with ya, brother. I've been playing "Enchanted Cave 2" for 3 hours. Wtfffffffffffff

Sounds like you're right on schedule as a MSII, Jack. Carry on!

I'm all done with MS2 but this was totally me a few weeks ago. It didn't help that Rocket League and Skyrim came into my life around the same time. It made productivity impossible.

If it makes you feel any better, House was my litmus test for MS3. I could stomach it pretty well during MS1/2, but as soon as I became even marginally competent on the wards, I could barely sit through an episode without becoming a big ball of rage.

That little transition point made all the hours on Netflix worthwhile.

At least that's what I tell myself...

Feeling the burnout hard. One week left of regular class time before boards prep and I'm constantly straddling between a big ball of freaking out neuroticism or in DGAF mode.

A patient with a highly confusing presentation is incapacitated and no longer able to respond to questions. What is the next best step?

A. Locate and question close contacts.
B. Call the appropriate specialists and develop an interdisciplinary management plan.
C. Perform a thorough physical exam to gain more information.
D. Break into his home.

I already went through my "House is BS" phase due to working in the hospital for years. Now I enjoy watching it as a show less about medicine and more about the characters, with medicine just happening to be there in some capacity, so it's enjoyable again.

Yes, stop watching House. There are happier medical shows. Exercise and healthier food and drinking water instead of soda will help your burnout.

I think someone here agrees with you because there was a point where house was always on in the student lounge.

Gaming. . . How I miss thee.

This. I remember how much video games I played in med school. I'd finish games and re-play them or play hours and hours of multiplayer. As an intern, I don't think I've played any significant amount. I still buy Humble Bundles and have an ever-growing steam library, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get through them! Definitely not playing any MP games anytime soon.
