What is it classified under? Go into your AACOMAS summary if you're verified and it give a break down of which pre-reqs you've satisfied. The title may be BIO but check if it meets the English requirement. Remember you just have to have your pre-reqs done by the time you matriculate.

You are probably better of taking another english class specially in the english department. I would also try to contact schools and explain in detail to see if they will accept the writing intensive bio class as an english class.

its relatively easy to change. call/email aacomas with the course name, and the course description/syllabus that classifies it as a writing course, and they'll take a look at it and manually adjust if needed.

Do you have any courses titled "composition" or "writing"?

The course title doesn't have to be "English"
