Hi everyone
from what i have read from this forum, biochem seem like a huge mountain to climb over to get an A...but guess what? i took biochem this semester past and i just got my grade..i did pretty well! so i just want to let everyone who is fearing biochem and putting it off to know that...it's not soo bad! You can do it~ i mean the class was no walk in the park but if you put your time and effort to study, you will do fine! Make sure you understand the concepts, because if you do...everything will make sense so don't just memorize it! anyways, i just wanted to start to thread to give hope to everyone who are stressing out about needing to take biochem and all the horror stories! good luck!

Congrats. Always feel good to kill the hardest classes. I did well in my biochem class in undergrad and I must say, pharmacy school biochem was a "walk in the park" because of that class.

If you get into a p-school (which I'm sure you will), you will be well prepared for that krebs, Km curve, ETC type of mumbo jumbo. 🙂

Same here - I've been warned what a horrible class it is - I took it with the hardest biochem teacher in the department and loved it. You should take biochem lab - as unbelievably hard as that class was - it was super fun and i loved it soooo much I am now doing bichemish 🙂research.

I took biochem in a nasty 6 week summer course. it was 4 days a week with a few hours a day. i managed to get an A but that was bc i studied everyday. it was scary at first but i said i must do it, hell i was praying for just a stinkin B  but managed to get an A.

I loved Biochem...it was such a good class with such a great professor...I got an A too...🙂

What you said can apply to most other classes. Just hang in there, and remember how important it is to study everyday. Learn the concepts and subject matter, instead of trying to remember everything as a set value/formula/equation. It will make sense when the pieces form into a puzzle.

LOL I will need this kind of advice, still have to do biochem, as well as organic, physics, anatomy, microbiology, etc.
