Can anyone tell me what the top 10 programs are that will make me the goodest ER doctor in the whole world?

Before anyone freaks out, I was totally just kidding. I just did a search for a program and it was funny how many threads or thread deviations there were discussing "top programs"... or rather berrating the OP for asking 🙂

Personally, I'm going to start an online EM residency program -- everyone can stay home in their pajamas and train by watching ER reruns.

I highly recommend In-and-Out residency. It's the bestest residency ever. Absolutely supah!

You can't learn EM by watching ER reruns. You can only learn EM by watching reruns of Walker Texas Ranger. Oh and that movie where Chuck Norris was in the POW camp, in that movie he was bad ass even though I can't recall the name of the movie right now.

I learned how to do an emergency craniotomy (with a .45). And one of my partners who's a DO does all his OMM with the patient hanging from his wrists tied to a loaded rifle.

You don't have one in Texas??? I'm from/in Michigan and while we can't currently do anything else in this state except cut jobs from the automotive plants, we even have an In and Out. Jeez. Get with the times.

Isn't that terrible?!? Two of those flights could pay one of the layed off workers salary for an entire year. Those D-bags are a bunch of pompous a**es. But that's what a company gets for paying someone such a stupid amount of money like 20million a year. What a joke. (Though with that said, the 20mill/year salaries are a drop in the bucket compared to the entire financial bleed those companies experience every year).

I just hope that I don't wake up 5 years from now and find that my entire state is out of work... But hey -- I guess that means they will all come to my ER (I'll be an attending at that time) when they need treatment 🙂
