So... can anyone give me an estimate on how long it took to hear a decision after being complete at the following schools:

Case Western
AECOM

Maybe I can cut back to 790 times a day.

(I know I'm being antsy and impatient. Please forgive me 🙂)

I feel ya. I used to never carry my laptop with me during the day. Now, it never leaves my sight - luckily Mac Mail eliminates the need to constantly refresh a browser page. Instead I just stare at my computer screen...

The question is...do you blink?

hahaha!

Does anyone know how long NYU takes to process your app?

They seem to be super fast. I got my invite two days after my completion email. I've seen other people on here who got their invite same day as completion.

I blink every hour...until the little red flag pops up with a number written on it - at which point i blink really really fast until I see that it's just ANOTHER email from ebay or amazon about some crap I'm not interested in

p.s. I'm in the middle of packing and I just got power back! those 30 minutes without electricity or internet were harrowing!

hmm... Is there an official 'You're complete' email? I know that my letters arrived last week, but I haven't gotten the 'complete' email yet.

Yeah, same here. I've been seriously contemplating a Blackberry. If only I wasn't burning so much money on applications...🙁

I was complete at case 8/10 and I haven't heard anything yet.

I was complete at AECOM 8/10 & heard from them 9/20.

Has anyone else started checking their email on their phones? With verizon it's only $5/month for unlimited web browsing (though it uses your airtime minutes) so now I can check my email everywhere... because really, if I didn't know that a school had offered me an interview *right away* the world really would end, wouldn't it?

I still haven't heard anything from Temple or Jefferson & I've been complete at those schools since 8/8.

Not hearing from Penn & Pitt is obviously my fault... as my apps there weren't complete until 9/24. 😳

For those of you that use gmail, do you know you can download a mail notifier? It tells you when you have new mail, who it's from & gives you a snipet of the first few lines of text. My boss actually told me to download it... figuring it would save me hours a day & *maybe* make me more productive.

Ziggy:

I submitted my NYU secondary on Sept 11. The MD/PhD program said they have NOT received it yet. I called the MD office and they said they are about 2 weeks behind on processing secondaries.

Chylo - I submitted my app at temple on 9/19, did not get a complete email but got invite on 9/26. Maybe they just had a meeting? But no word from Jefferson. As for Pitt...Garraaaghh - it's one of the many schools who needed the special rating form that my recommenders seem to find too time-consuming to fill out. I'm still waiting for those to get done to be complete at several places. Come on, it's the same form, I gave you stamped addressed envelopes, what more do you want from me? My soul!?!?!?! I feel my chances at these schools are dwindling fast...

Pickles, how did temple contact you?

The other day I missed a call from their admissions dept. (I didn't recognize the phone # so I googled it.) They didn't leave me a message!! And I haven't heard anything since. Nerve wracking to say the least. :scared:

I'm in Philly & I'd really like to stay here...

haha! It's almost gotten to the point where if I am within 50 ft of a computer, somebody will say with his best Ricky Ricardo impression "Hey Pickles! Were you checking you email again? You've got some 'splainin' to do!"

Ha ha, that's the rite of passage for all of us. Don't worry, you'll hear soon. You seem like a strong candidate. Good luck. 🙂
