Is being placed on academic probation count as an IA? I was placed on academic probation about 10 years ago and not too sure if I should check this box for this coming cycle.

Is being placed on academic probation count as an IA? I was placed on academic probation about 10 years ago and not too sure if I should check this box for this coming cycle.

If I remember right there were two boxes, one you check yes and give an explanation for if you had an IA for academics, another if it was for rule breaking. Anyone else confirm? I also had an IA for academic probation 10 years ago at a CC, I did report it, and it didn't end up being an issue at all for me

I don't think academic probation counts as an IA. I've seen some apps that ask about IAs and then ask about academic probation. Some questions ask both in the same question so I'd say that IAs and academic probation are separate.

Academic probation counts as IA. On AACOMAS they ask, "Have you ever been disciplined for academic performance (e.g. academic probation, dismissal, suspension, disqualifification, etc.) by any college or school?" If yes, you have to explain.

I was also put on academic probation about 10 years ago. I failed a writing class my freshman year. I just gave a short explaination and said what I did to change it and how I made Dean's List the next semester. I was actually asked about it during my interview, but I was still accepted by the school anyways.
