ico interview

yay! i just got an interview to ico today! im trying not to get my hopes up, but it's really hard not to....

is it weird that they asked for my 2ndary application along with the interview invitation or is that pretty standard for them?

i'm thinking that the invitation for their interview is a pretty big deal right? They wouldn't invite me if they weren't seriously considering me, right?

i'm just looking for some re-assurance because my OAT scores weren't great and i'm only a 3rd year....

i think i sent my preliminary application in mid October, right after the OAT...at that point they had my letters of recommendation and transcripts

ICO seems to be moving pretty slow since you had your stuff since middle of October...congratz on the interview invite, yes they won't invite you unless they think you are academically fit....

Wohoo..I got an interview too regardles so my low low grades !LOL!
Although I dont' quite understand why we have to put our grades in the secondary application again. They've already got our transcript!!!

Preliminary App and all transcripts sent by 11/30
Interview Invitation TODAY 1/19

For some reasons, I always picture studying in ICO is like living in a cage! >< Coz i heard the neighbourhood is so bad that u dont' do anything outside!

when i interviewed at ico in november, the short essay topic was something about what you can contribute to ico's diverse student body. i wouldn't worry too much about it; mine sucked and i still got accepted.

I got an interview invitation and request for secondary application in the same email. If you haven't already, try calling to ask when you can expect to hear about an interview. Good luck!

ico sent my secondary application and interview invitation together through usps. aisha davis called me on my cell phone to notify me of my acceptance (about 2 weeks after the interview). then i got the official acceptance letter about one or two weeks later.

Congrats for those who were called for an interview! It was much more competitive than last year and they received a 30% increase in apps, which will probably continue to increase in the next 4 years. Great job!

The neighborhood isn't necessarily that bad right where ICO Is although no, we don't hang out in it. It is much worse a few streets south on 35th. There's a decent 7-11 on the IIT campus that you can walk to and they have a nice coffee house, but other than that, I mostly hop on the green line and go downtown or up north to do things.

Had any students ever got into "troublesome" situation b4 at ICO?
or do they mostly just stay in campus??
Coz from what I've heard, it seems like NECO or PCO is much safer than ICO

NECO on the 4th of Feb
