Hey,

I got scheduled an interview at ICO and I was just trying to book my flight. It seems there are two airports I can choose from. Which is closer to the school? Anyone know?

Thanks

I know that ORD is a much larger airport than Midway, but I think Midway is closer. You should look at the interview feedback for ICO. Some of the interviewees actually put in the traveling information, so it could give you some perspective! Good luck!

Hey, I just had my interview this past week.
O'Hare and Midway are probably your options if I remember correctly.
O'Hare was actually much farther away from ICO (cost us around $45
to get there from the Airport, and pretty much the same to get back).
I have heard that Midway is closer to ICO, so if your looking to save a few bucks, Midway might be the way to go.

Hope that helps.

Midway is about a half hour away, O'hare is a little over an hour away (by train). I took the train, it cost $2 (from O'hare) and took a little over an hour like I said, which really isn't THAT long and totally worth saving the money, in my opinion.

You are all correct...Midway is definately closer to ICO and a good option if you are planning to take a cab to campus. I'd say you're looking at around $15-25. From O'hare it could cost aroun $40-50. However, the train is definately the best way to get back to campus from either airports. Its a $2 ride but it takes just over an hour from O'hare. So I guess it depends on what time you get in because I wouldn't suggest taking the train by yourself at night. Goodluck in your interview! 🙂

can someone please provide which trains they took from midway to ICO? Also, if the interview was at 9:15 AM, what time did you take the train from Midway at?

ICO should have provided you with that information, but if you go here: http://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/ you can figure it out. Just type Midway Airport as the starting point and 3241 S Michigan as the destination, and the time you want to arrive by. I would pick an arrive time of a little earlier than your interview time, say around 9:00 or so. Also, it took about 10 minutes or so (if you are unfamiliar with the area) to walk from the train station to the school.
