I have an interview with ICO on December 5th, and I applied for their Applicant Host program. Unfortunately, they told me that they don't have availability for the day I requested. So.. I am wondering where I should stay the night before the interview.
I am looking for a motel/hotel with a reasonable price that is not too far from the school (walking distance or max 5min by car). For those of you who did not stay at ICO's Residential Complex, where did you guys stay when you went for ICO interview?
Thanks in advance!

I once stayed at Hosteling International: Chicago when I went to go visit the school. You can check their availability for rooms. I think they will have a couple options for a shared dorm or even private rooms. It's less than 20 minutes from the school by bus or you can take the train. A cab should be ten minutes or so. It's a pretty direct route (straight down Michigan Avenue).

The hostel is located downtown in the "loop," right around the corner from State Street and Congress.

Here's a tip, have the cab drop you off at 3240 S INDIANA AVE, CHICAGO. Although the mailing address says Michigan Ave, The school's entrance is around the back of the building on the next street over (facing the residential complex). You can check in at the front desk.

Thank you so much for the useful information!!!
I'm so excited for my interview 😀

Goodluck on the interview minimeeeeeeee. You'll love this ICO guy Anthony =D!!

I recently had an interview last week. I stayed at the Hyatt McCormick Place one night and the RC the other night. The Hyatt was $164, but that was a weekend. Mention that you have an interview and they will give you the ICO rate. I also took a cab from the hotel to ICO which cost $10 including tip. It was only 10 mins away. I soon found out I could've have taken bus #3 from the hotel for $2. I hope this helps. Good luck to all in interviews!
