I recently had my interview at ICO and I was really impressed with the school and the people there. Your interview day will consist of a file review, 10 minute essay, interview, tour/lunch with the students, and a wrap up. First, they will go over your file just to make sure you have everything completed. If you had any poor grades during your undergrad, be prepare to explain why because they will ask about it. The 10 minute essay is right after the file review. My interview went well and it felt more like a conversation than an interview. The interviewer just asked me the typical questions like why optometry? tell me about yourself? Where you want to practice? Tell me about your shadowing experience, etc...Make sure you have a couple good questions to ask pertaining to your interests, so you can find out more about the school and to show that you've researched the school and the program. After the interview, you will have a tour/lunch with students and your day will end with a wrap up with admissions.
