Hello,
I’ve been accepted to both D.O schools and am very confused on what I should decide. I was hoping some people would be able to give me some insight. I would love to hear from current students if anyone is here!!

CHSU
Pros
- deposit ($2,000) is partially refundable
- In CA (I live in CA)
- Medical Spanish required
- Rotations in Fresno/CA (~1 hr away maximum)
- Seems to have more community connections?
have students from ATSU and KCU rotate at their sites while waiting for their first class to be able to go to sites.
- Total estimated yearly cost: $93, 502
- Slightly newer than ICOM (first class graduates 2024)
- Private loans until 4th year
ICOM
Pros
- Total estimated yearly cost: $78,792
- Near Boise
- Federal loans from 2yr and beyond.
- Established culture and 94% 1st time complex pass rate
Cons
- Rotation sites can be out of state (WY, ND, SD, neighboring states)
- Further away from home
Preferences/Additional Details:
- Right now, I am staying open minded as both are new schools. I want to go into primary care eventually!
- I am not still not sure which is better in terms of learning augmented reality or cadavers
- Both schools only provide private loans
- Both schools do not have a graduating class yet
- Both schools are for-profit
