I'm contemplating taking Step 1. I'm a 3rd year - DO student.

How are casefiles for anatomy, biochem, physio, micro, pharm? I really like casefiles for rotations and thumbing through they look good.
I plan to also use RR Path and FA.

My plan: run through everything once, take a practice NBME, if I score at least a 200 then sign up for USMLE, UW, and DIT and continue to study. I'm registered for Level 2 at the end of June.

If I dont make at least a 200, then give it up and continue as if studying for Step 2. I already have UW and the required books, since I am to take Level 2 anyway.

Any advice and/or opinions for Case Files and the plan as per above? Thanks!

Good deal, I figured I wouldn't do that hot anyways considering the amount of genetics and minute biochem I've forgotten. Add to that the curriculum my 1st 2 years probably didn't emphasize the amount of genetics and biochem needed for the USMLE anyways. However, I'll start with an NBME in a week following my shelf exam. Thanks, and any other suggestions please shoot my way.

For Questions ... what do you guys consider as good sources?

1. UW
2. Robbins Review QBook
3. Pharm Pre-Test
4. Micro Pre-Test
5. Physio Pre-Test
6. Biochem/Genetics Pre-Test
7. USMLE Step 1 Pre-Test

Should I use all of the above? Let me know please - thanks!

Those are all great sources, with maybe the exception of Step 1 PreTest - I wasn't a fan. I used them during my classes and they were great for shelf exams. Pharm and Physio may be overkill. I would use Biochem/Genetics and Micro extensively.

I also liked WebPath...the questions weren't similar to the real thing, but it tested concepts well.
