Hey
Does anyone have any information about
Idaho State Uni AEGD programs, I would really appreciated. Anyone heard good or bad , locations, faculty, staff, etc.
Thanks

My info on the program is super old since I'm a 3rd year and I only went out there to shadow a few times as a pre-dent, but here it goes. As far as I understand, they have one in Pocatello and one in Boise, I went to the one in Boise. The facilities were pretty nice and new (at least they were 4 years ago) and despite my personal bias towards loving Boise, I think you will find that it is a great place to live and the cost of living is in line with the small amount of pay you get. The residents seemed really happy and seemed to get along well with the Dr.'s running it. The head lady (I forget her name) was very nice and inviting, and seemed to be out for the best interest of the students. I know they rotated through certain specialties on certain days. The days I visited they were doing IV sedation for schucking 3rds. I know they had a designated time for classes/journal review, and they had to do an educational presentation at a few schools. Other than that, I don't know a whole lot. Hope this helps

I interviews at the Pocatello site last week. Great program that is set up like a private practice. Focus a lot on full mouth reconstruction, implants, as well as the bread and butter dentistry. The have specialist in each field come different days each week, so you try and schedule your patients around that specialty. There are 4 residents per site and plenty of work to do. I liked the facility because it was set up like private practice, the staff, and the program as a whole. Really a solid program to get lots of experience. You will even get enough experience in IV sedation to be certified. You applying?

Thank you guys for this info, but I was wondering which is better UOP or Idaho??

I don't now anything about UOP, but was given the info I knew about Idaho. Either way, I was accepted and will be attending the AEGD at Idaho State!! What did you decide?
