Ideal Pre-Opt Applicant

What kind of activities are they looking for from an applicant? I'm currently volunteering at a hospital ER, but what else can I do to impress interviewers(if I even get an interview) besides a high GPA/OAT?

I don't think there are any requirements for shadowing an optometrists. Make sure you let them know beforehand that your are pre-optometry student though. Happy New Year's Eve!

A great way to meet an optometrist is to follow your friends/family to their eye appointments. 🙂
