Hi, the following was sent to me by another user as an anonymous post request. Please see below.

"We have a wealthy donor interested in making a significant donation (no idea how much, anywhere from 6-8 figures) to our radiation oncology department. What would you ask for? Reflexion? Protons? Thanks for any great ideas!"

Endowed chair(s) a great idea - minimum here is usually 2 mil plus. Rest to support research/clinical trials for individual/department; can be specified by donor if they wish. Tech is for institution to buy, unless the donor has a specific desire.

That Reflexion and those protons have really revolutionized cancer outcomes and how we care for cancer. Tough choice!

Well, they have certainly revolutionized reimbursement. You gotta spend money to make money!

Also we don’t talk about negative proton trials or the need to inject five full FDG doses into a patient to treat a bone met.
