Anyone have any ideas for a rocking ob/gyn presentation? It needs to be 20 minutes at Grand Rounds. So far I'm thinking of doing one of these: outcomes of ivf children vs naturally conceived children, mechanism of copper iuds, and circumcision and hiv. What would be best, or do you have another idea?

Thanks for helping me out!

i got nothing, ugh OB is terribly not exciting to me.

does it have to be disease related issues? can you do a presentation on effects of over the counter medication on the fetus?

maybe terratogenic drugs? a lot of people forget that stuff. ace, arbs, statins, tons of stuff.

Whenever I've had to do something like this, I always found it helpful to think about the patients I had seen and what issue(s) arose from their presentation and/or management and based my talk around that.

drug choics in pregnancy would be a good on e i think. and also drug-choics in the breastfeeding periods. So dealing with infections such as UTI's, complex ones such as pyelo with infected stones, mastitis post-partum are all things to touch on.

wife is working on a preeclampsia/eclampsia presentation right now. they recently had one on managing myasthenia gravis in pregnancy/labor.

Do you think you can share that presentation if she has already presented it

Menopause is an easy topic.
I would highly put this in doubt. Although I haven't went through menopause, I did read about it because I got interested and I've seen that it is by far not an easy topic...
