Okay guys, I have a professor that allows us to write a research paper for a grade. I am having the hardest time coming up with an idea that my fellow classmates haven't already done. I think anything that hasn't been beaten to death would be good.

So any good ideas?

You don't have any more information at all? Like.. what other people have done, what an appropriate scope is...?

Thats the thing, its so open ended. You can write the paper on anything that is related to physiology. That is what is making it so hard because I want to write a paper on something that isn't your ordinary topic to stand out to the professor.

Other students have mostly done some of the rare diseases, some have done cancers, and one student is doing something about cataracts in children. I know one person is doing dialated cardiomyopathy

Whatever you do, show it to him to revise before submitting.

how about something to do with vaccines, those are pretty cool. i dunno if that's relevant to physio though

How many men can not get laid on Valentine's day.

Christ, if you have that much room, how hard can it be to come up with an idea? Why don't you look up some recent research papers and just write about that?

Here, say you want to do an shRNA screen on glioma stem cells to figure out which genes are necessary for their survival.

how about dietary restriction-mediated longevity? not yet proven in humans but lots of info in all other systems
