So, I have been reviewing out of my Kaplan test prep book and even though organic compound IDs (i.e.. chlorate, chlorite, hypochlorite) were reviewed, they did not include any sample test questions covering them. I have a review app that does incorporate them, however. Does the OAT cover the identification of organic compounds with common names (not IUPAC IDs)?

Yep. Exactly what undecisiveone1 said. The OAT covers nomenclature, but nothing too outlandish. Nomenclature is basic. The main thing to work on with this is speed - not esoteric examples or outliers.

Yes understand the nomenclature. It's pretty standard though, nothing tricky
