Based on the image section below, the most likely location of this spinal cord level is

a) C3-C5
b) C7-C8
c) T2-T5
d) T6-T8
e) T7-T9
f) T10-T12
g) L1-L3

My guess is C. The lateral horns are T1-L2, so that rules out A,B, and probably G. The cord is starting to become more ellipsoid which is why I say T2-T5. Going towards the lumbar and sacral region, the spinal cord becomes rounder. I'm not sure if the circles on the picture are supposed to help you narrow down the answer choices. My atlas (Haines) only gives representative cross sections for sacral, lumbar, thoracic and cervical levels.

I'm also thinking C. It's clearly a thoracic level, the anterior horns aren't too big so it isn't a lower thoracic, and I think I see both FG and FC.

Great. C is correct.

This section has:
1. a thin ventral horn--> upper cervical cord (C1-C4 cord level) or thoracic cord(T2-L1 cord level)
2. both dorsal columns--> above T5(C1-T5)
3. Prominent lateral horn --> T1-L2

the common denominator for all is T2-T5.

I seem to remember T7 being the cutoff for dorsal columns?
