I got ghosted after sending an ITA...odds I’ll get invited to interview later in the cycle?

All you can do is be grateful you tried. Sometimes (most times) ITA emails don’t work, because it can come across as though there is an assumption that the applicant will be invited anyways. ITA emails may work for individuals who are doing work abroad, and literally have a few days/weeks available to attend all their interviews. That’s often not the case for most applicants, but even then, we cannot assume that a school ought to accommodate the applicant.
Hope things work out, but if not, be grateful that you tried!
Side note: I sent one to one school, because resources were extremely limited. And they still denied the request, but invited me to interview a bit later. Because I loved the school so much, I took the chance and just flew to the state again.
You're not assuming much by thinking you'll be getting an II? 60% of all applicants never get any.Not quite sure what you mean by this...but ok lol

Ahhh, you didn't clarify. The school may have a policy of not answering ITAs, or they're just swamped with the 5-10K apps.I don’t mean to sound rude or snarky but I’m already sitting on 9 interview invitations and I’m a pretty competitive applicant. I was just wondering if I should assume that this school had silently rejected me or if I should hold out hope because they’re one of my top choices.
The assumption, the presumption, that a school has the time, resources, or inclination to interrupt their process to pull your app from the pile, evaluate and review, and decide you to invite to an interview on your schedule or even have time to respond to all the emails from students is appalling. It is one thing to send a note about an ITA, but you are not entitled to have any opinion about the lack of response except what every applicant should have about every school: that you will be rejected. That is the reality from every school that you should assume and be enhancing your applcation for possible reapplication

Your attitude has me miffed. Having any opinion other than assuming rejection is already wrong. For the million plus individual applications at individual schools that will be filed this year, probably less that 100,000 will get acceptance at some point or less than 10%.
As the arms race for interviews has escalated over the years, we have all been "burned" by these ITA requests. Applicants in the same area code, those with no real reason to be ITA and any number of variants (all meant to move them up for consideration) have been encountered. Now, the mere request tends to leave a bad taste in the mouth of all but the "neediest" of schools. It is the taste of entitlement (even when it is not the intention of the communication).I understand your opinion on this, but I wasn’t asking whether or not I would get an acceptance from this school nor was I implying in any way that I assumed that I’d be receiving even an interview invitation from this school. I just wanted some insight on the ITA issue.
