I know this is quite premature of me, and that this topic has been brought up before, but i am a little confused as to how the process goes when you are accepted. Once accepted, do the other schools that you are applying to know you are accepted, and hence, put you on the waitlist, or is it after May 15, when they are notified. The MSAR book says May 15, but other posts indicate that some people may have not been a secondary since they have already been accepted to another school. Thanks

The schools will now where you are accepted on April 15. You have until May 15 to withdraw from all schools to which you've been given an acceptance but one. You can remain on waitlists, on hold, etc., for as long as needed. However, after May 15 you may only hold one acceptance at a time. Prior to May 15, you may hold as many acceptances as you wish (and are lucky enough to get...)

But that's not to say you can't be accepted off a waitlist after May 15 if you are holding an acceptance.

Just wanted to clear up any confusion for the OP.
