...and I'm unable to answer, will they offer the interview spot to someone else? The reception in my area is extremely bad and im on a contract.

No, they will not offer your spot to someone else. They will leave a message telling you got invited to an interview and to call back to confirm a date, or to just call back and they tell you when you call that you have been invited.

Usually, it's either e-mail or phone call, not both in terms of notification. However, for phone-call invites, you will usually get a confirmation e-mail as well after you confirm a date.
