I see that AADSAS sends out apps in batches so when should i take the dat to make sure it is recieved by that JUNE 1st date? I want to take it at a time that it wont take until July/August for them to receive my scores.

The best you can do is take it around May 1st. It takes 3-4 weeks for the ADA to receive and verify your scores. From there the AADSAS receives scores on a weekly basis. So there's no real way to control them receiving your score exactly on June 1st.

Theoretically taking it any time on or before May 1st ensures you the best bet on them getting your scores near the beginning of June, since that 3-4 week verification time will have passed. Since everything is linked by your dentpin, the scores will be transmitted automatically in their weekly receiving once your application is created.

Good luck with studying. Cheers~

According to my pre-health advisor, you can take your DAT after the rest of your AADSAS application has been completed. It was my understanding that it takes 3-4 weeks for the ADA to process your grades from college, not your DAT. So if you take the DAT mid June you should be good.

Did anyone else take this route?

I am taking the DAT for the 1st time June 5th. I get done with school May 13th and going to be study for it til then. I am working on typing all my application stuff on a word document so I can just copy paste it to ADSAS. I hope that will get me in on the 1st wave. Plus if I do poorly on the DAT I can retake it in Aug. I am not sure if other are doing this either?

Your pre-health adviser is correct, you CAN take it after the rest of your application has been completed. You are mistaken in the notion that the 3-4 weeks applies to your grades, it applies to the DAT. This is not my opinion, it comes directly from the ADA (please read the 2011 DAT Examinee Guide by the ADA).

If you plan to retake the exam, you must wait a minimum of 90 days beforehand. Just keep this in mind as it will push back your retake date to September at the earliest. This is also per the DAT Examinee Guide by the ADA.
