If I wasn't on SDN....
Started by WildZooVet
...very bored. And still misinformed about ~75% of the vet school admissions process. And not able to name all 28 schools. And possibly miserable.
I 😍 SDN, no doubt.

If I wasn't on SDN... I would have not done nearly as well on my interview.

How about "While I'm on SDN, I'm also...."
-running some perl code
-writing an email
-chatting on IRC
-flipping back and forth between the 20 something other tabs I have open
-looking over my quant genetics problems

If I wasn't on SDN... I wouldn't have done nearly as well on my interviews and I would feel much more lonely while applying/interviewing/waiting to hear back from vet schools.
... i'd be enjoying a good night sleep right now

Doing my cases for clin path.
...I would be done with my book already (since it should have been done a few days ago) instead of taking a break on page 575 of 583.
...I'd be balancing my checkbook and paying attention to a needy cat.
ok guys it had become clear that we are a bunch of SDN addicts.
so i have devised a 12 step program to recovery:
1) admit that you are powerless to the draw of SDN and spend way too much time stalking this website
2) wait for this all to play out and hope that the vet school keeps us busy enough that we will not longer have time to check SND like 5 (or maybe more) times a day
i lied... it's only a 2 step program but that's all i got

paying attention in neuro.
BUSTED!

If I wasn't on SDN....
1. working one of my 3 (sometimes 4 jobs)
2. cleaning house
3. paying attention to my squirrel
4. playing XBOX 360, Call of Duty 😀 I'm so addicted to that game. Especially, when you get to call in a pack of german shepards to attack the other team 😀

You too?Studying for an evolution exam
Mine's on Friday.Besides the evo exam, I should be
- finishing a cell bio lab report on a PCR lab that only sort of worked (how do I explain a band in a lane with only one primer added? a really big/heavy band?) - need to finish by tomorrow
- reading a 130+ page thesis on the stalk-eyed fly research I'm doing - lab meeting Thursday afternoon
- studying for scary cell bio exam next Thurs
- doing anthro reading for essay exam on Monday
- trying to fix my computer (hey, who needs word processing programs when you have Google Docs?)
- and, of course, sleeping 😴
But, but, but, where else would I find an audience who would appreciate that I got to feel the beheaded foal fetus in utero after a failed fetotomy in the wee hours of the morning Saturday night? I was sad/frustrated that the owner would not let us do a c-section and we ended up having the euthanize the mare, but, at the same time, this was my first fetotomy and my first time getting to stick my arm into a mare's uterus. I just tell myself that this mare gave her life so that several residents could have a better chance of saving the next one, and she was not awake for most of it. The fetus/foal was deformed with severely contracted tendons on both front and back legs, so it did not have a future, even if it had lived and they had been able to get it out.
...I would be preparing for my comparative vertebrate anatomy lab tomorrow, as well as getting to bed quite a bit faster. I'm justifying this because my lab coat is currently in the dryer, so I'm kind of getting work done by extension of that right now LOL.

Magic!
I probably should be studying, but I had an exam this morning, and I'm sick, so I think I'm done with serious studying until the weekend. I also have a "personal reflection" for speech class that I should be doing. I don't have a whole lot to do before Spring Break now though. Extra time to prepare for my UF interview!
Honestly, though, if I wasn't on SDN I'm sure I would find a much less useful way of wasting time.
...studying parasitology... 😳
Working on writing my masters thesis so I can actually graduate in time to go to vet school.
...but this is so much more fun..

here! here! 🙂actually be studying and have a better chance of getting into vet school instead of not studying and looking at hints on getting in![]()
...I would be taking another stupid online Physio test!
(PS those of you who need upper division Physio-- DON'T take the Breyer State course, it's awful.)

Perhaps contamination? I'd need more information to formulate a better response 😀
....sleeping!
Well, I basically said in my lab report that there was probably contamination or some sort of mistake, and that if this were a real study and not an (grumble, grumble) educational exercise we would trash that run and try again.
