If I'll stop volunteering a year before I apply, will there be any consequences?

Is it OK to stop volunteering a year before applying to a med.school, or is it more preferrable to continue to the end? I already have over 100 hours and want to concentrate more on diferent things.

Yeah, I stopped my hospital volunteering one year into it, a few months before I started applying to med schools. Like you, I wanted to focus on other things. I represented it honestly (made sure to state that I had one year of the experience) and no one ever asked me any questions about it. I doubt anyone cared. One of the best decisions I made.
