Assuming you could live a high quality life style... what career would you choose? Assume dentistry is not a choice.

I personally would choose to be a nurse-midwife. I know it sounds feminine but I had such a cool experience with my wife and her delivery of our daughter. Midwifes become RNs and then go to midwife school for 2 years or so. The hours are less than Ob/Gyns. Anyway, what would you all choose?

Paleontologist.

if dentistry was not an option and money was not an issue, i'd pursue a carrer in photography or professional cooking!!

there was a similar theard on this topic 2 yrs ago.

photograpy for a magazine like national geographic or time. i love being outdoors and travelling, so this would be the ideal job for me. i guess ill have to settle for a few dental mission trips to the amazon every year and just take lots of pictures while im there.

An undercover hitman.

Oh wait... it was supposed to be undercover. :scared:

I'll cover it up quick.

A day dreamer.

I was on a music scholarship in college and strongly considered going into singing/conducting.

I would work at a zoo, i love animals!!

I would be a farmer. I just love it and plan on doing it after dentistry when I have enough money to buy a small farm.

Take it from me....being a porn star isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's a hard life. Pun intended.

Dentistry. I love it. Also, I plan to work in a very rural area after I graduate so I probably wont make any money like you guys will anyway.

Too bad you won't be around to share your stories from "rural practice" with us for much longer:

Too late....I beat you to it. Have a nice day.

Why do you constantly want to harass a 21 year old female, does that make you happy?
😡

I wouldn't particularly just choose one profession.

I would love to try a new prfoessions outta there from male model to pastor every year if I don't have to worry about $$.

This forum is intended to provide help to pre-dental students and as a place to discuss the dental profession. Is all of this childish fighting and finger pointing really helping anyone? There are lots of places online where you can go and have a nice fight with a random stranger, but does this forum have to be one of them? I think what this whole thing boils down to is common courtesy: don't throw around insults and highjack threads with fighting, isn't it better for everyone if you just ignore the people you dont like?

Should we start a thread/petition to ban IAMSARA?

I would actually want to become a pilot....first and foremost a fighter pilot....then maybe acrobatic flying

a professional basketball player, formula one race car driver, king of america?

Another career I would choose: Golfer... even if I never made it big... I would love to golf everyday!

sounds like a plan!

Wanna join it?

I'd probably split my time between Picking the driving range at Pebble Beach (2 hours a day + FREE GOLF anytime there's room on the course) and doing avalanche control at Alta (Shoot 40 mm guns early in the morning...ski all day for FREE). I'd probably still do a couple of RCTs here and there just for fun.

maybe like a doctor for a cruise ship or resort or something.

Get my pro-card and turn to Proffesional Bodybuilding

I would be a wife/mom, which is one reason I love dentistry, I get to do both. There's nothing more important to me than family. I can't wait to take care of my future hubby...lol 😍

Oh man, I am going to speeewwwww! Jk. That is a plus of dental... you can work part time if you want as an associate. I had a friend go into dental with his wife. Lucky they got into the same school. 😎

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit painter. You know that issue where the girls only had bikinis painted on? Ohhhh, wow....that's an unreal job.

Or maybe team dentist for Hawaiian Tropic.

I'm glad to hear this. In all seriousness, I think the job of a mom is the most important job in the world. It's way more important than anything I do at the hospital where I work, IMO.
