If my letters are not in yet, is my application now "late"?

All my LOR writers except for ONE have submitted their letters to my school's LOR service. I submitted my primary July 4rth and haven't been verified yet. I also took June 20 mcat, so I'm not submitting any secondaries till I get my retake scores back 😱. At this point, I am hoping he can finish it within a week since he promised to finish it in early July. I sent him a reminder a few days ago, but no reply yet. Will my application be late? I probably won't be verified till mid-August given how slow AMCAS is this year.

And also: How do people finish their secondaries so fast??? These questions are hard it takes me like a few days to finish one secondary.

AMCAS doesn't wait for the letters to verify your app.

but schools wouldn't look at my application till my letters are in right? I think?

My understanding is that schools look at your LoRs with secondaries, so they'll look at your primary app and send you secondary app requests, but won't look at your secondary apps until they receive your LoRs.

Hope I'm not wrong, or my app will be way more delayed than I thought.

Forget the LoRs: These are your real issues. Even if all of your LoRs were to come in tomorrow, you wouldn't be ready to send in any secondaries.

Some schools will give interview invites without LoRs.

You don't really need LORs until you are verified. I Agree that schools need LORs to review your app, but no school is gonna review your app until they get your verified AMCAS + secondary.

You recycle essays. Your first few essays will take a long time but eventually you find that many schools ask the same questions.

Oh yes I've been pre-writing secondaries. I have done all the "common"/"big" essays like diversity, overcoming adversity, tell us something additional about yourself not in AMCAS, what are you doing next year, and most valuable experience. And a few ethics questions.

Yes the June 20th MCAT is holding me back and I'm pretty nervous about my score. 😱

Thanks for answers everyone.
